50° 0'38.20"N 110° 6'48.32"W - Part Deux
This is a follow-up to my previous Blog Post. Just to make sure, I checked on Terraserver to see if satellite image at this site matches with that in Google Earth. It did! (see below). You too may check it by entering the coordinates in decimal system (Lat=50.010611 deg, Long=110.113422 deg) on Terraserver. So, I would rule out Google's doctoring theory. I can't think of any explanation for this amazing resemblance to human face. Can you?

We look for similarity so end up seeing "familiar & similar" patterns everywhere. Probably if an elephant (last known, creature to have "recognition", read about that in yesterday's news)is shown the same picture, probably it will find a different pattern!?!!
An extension of this is the formation patterns each one of perceives in the clouds. The perception varies asper experiences & imagination.
Gopa, I think you should have more faith in the Google Earth folks. They might fool around, but I don't think they'd ever finger the views. They might screw up once in a while while "stitching", but that comes with the territory (when it's something big as the Earth)!
Anyway, check out Sitting Bull in the Grand Canyon as well.
Raama, I agree that Google folks distorting facts is very unlikely. I can think of only three possibilities: (1) Human creation (2) Direct divine intervention and (3) Natural formation.
I find it very hard to believe that such a close resemblance to human face formed due to natural processes.
I see Ravi's good point. But I did not come across a natural formation resembling any animal so closely. But then, there are a zillion things that I do not know about.

You should see Indian TV news now and then....The other day I saw our citizens worshipping ginger (during Ganesh Chathurti) which was shaped like lord Ganesha. And then, I was browsing the net randomly and I saw a site managed by a temple here in the U.S posting a few pictures of the Homam. I thought the flame coming out of the homa gundam was shaped like Veera Hanuman ! I am sure I will see more miraculous events in my life time....(I hope one of these days my boss looks like Madhuri Dixit ;-) )

I haven't seen your boss. From your tone, trying to visualize her - Madhuri Dixit like lady with a great smile, standing next to a large arched window with view to a clear blue sky, with a couple of pigs flying in the background with their majestic wings! Did I get the picture right?
