Watched the movie
O Brother Where Art Thou? yesterday. Enjoyed the movie and the old time
songs in it. I liked these words of George Nelson while robbing a bank at a gun point.
OK, folks, hold the applause and drop your drawers! I'm George Nelson, and I'm here to sack the city Itta Bena!
He robs the money from the cashier and says:
Thank you, folks. And remember, Jesus saves, but George Nelson withdraws!
Reminded me of one of the
Simpsons episodes where Mr. Burns, while snatching some expensive paintings from Grandpa Simpson in a hurry goes:
As they say, "time is Monet"
A random quote:
My psychiatrist told me I'm going crazy.
I told him, 'If you don't mind I'd like a second opinion.'
He said, 'Alright.... you're ugly too!' - Late Rodney Dangerfield

Q: What did the Hindi guy say when he heard: "Time is Monet"?
A: Manet?
Manet? Sorry, I didn't get it:-( Could you pl. explain? I feel bad when I miss nice things on the first reading.
Subba Rao (very nice guy), my ex-room mate in Calcutta, once asked me while we were eating breakfast, "will you write some butter on my bread slice?" (I was sitting close to butter). Rest being the Hindi folks, I was the only one LOL on that!
I remember a Telugu guy telling someone, "mai`n fees bAnd-ke AtA hU`n" - due the words 'pay' and 'tie' having a single equivalent word in Telugu (ditto in Tamil).
There was this impressionist thief who stole some masterpieces and made a quick getaway. Le Parisien police were hot on his heels when his vehicle stuttered and sputtered to a halt.
After being apprehended, he attributed the vehicle's problems to, "I didn't have the Monet to buy Degas to make the van Gogh".
